In the national colors of Switzerland: Giorgio Maggi gets a new design for Most

The #18 Ford Mustang will stand out in the EuroNASCAR field.

Giorgio Maggi can’t wait to travel to the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series race at Autodrom Most. The racing driver from Hergiswil not only wants to collect points in the EuroNASCAR PRO classification, but also to present the new design of his 18 Ford Mustang from Hendriks Motorsport. In the Czech Republic, the V8 bolide will shine in the national colors of Switzerland.

“I love the new design and I would love to have a new livery for every race,” the 23-year-old enthused. “I think this design will make us stand out from the others on the grid, which is why the #18 Ford Mustang will be very visible during the races. It just looks fantastic and I’m really looking forward to the race weekend at Autodrom Most.”

Maggi has good memories of the 4.1-kilometer track in the Czech Republic: in 2019, he took pole position for both races and won the first round. At the time, it was his second EuroNASCAR 2 victory after Valencia. In the second race, he finished second. This strong result paved the way for him to become runner-up in the 2019 season. In 2021, he will compete with NASCAR’s European elite at Most.

“Autodrom Most was my strongest track in 2019,” explained Maggi, who is looking to make a breakthrough in the EuroNASCAR PRO championship in the Czech Republic. “Last year, Grobnik in Croatia was my strongest track. The two circuits are similar in their character and have a similar rhythm. Therefore, I see us in front again in Most, but I know it will not be easy because the competition is very strong. The whole Hendriks Motorsport team will give its best!”

After two race weekends in Valencia, Spain, and Brands Hatch, Great Britain, Maggi is eighth in the overall standings – tied on points with three-time NWES champion Alon Day. In four races so far, the Swiss has collected one top-5 and three top-10 results. The first podium of the 2021 season is to follow in Most. Qualifying and all races on August 28-29 will be broadcast live and free of charge on the EuroNASCAR YouTube channel.
