24h of Zolder (B) 03. 11.2020

In addition to his runner-up title in the euronascar, the overall victory in the 24h of Zolder (B) was probably one of the greatest successes in his still young career for the young Swiss Giorgio Maggi (22).

On a #11 NORMA M20 FC – sports prototype of the French semi factory team “Krafft Racing”, he crossed the finish line in Zolder (Belgium) with Bert Longin (B), Stienes Longin (B) and Christoff Corten (B), after 701 laps of 4.000 meters = 2.804 km, with 40 starters, as the overall winner!

Also in 2020, the proven team of Bert Longin (B), Stienes Longin (B), Christoff Corten (B) and Giorgio Maggi (CH) will start on 07.11.2020 with the #11 NORMA M20 FC – sports prototype. But this time – due to the CONVID19 pandemic – the 24h were shortened to 12h, and approved with strict hygiene regulations – without spectators!

“After last year’s success, we’re naturally aiming for victory again. The weather will also be very interesting at this time of year. I’m really looking forward to contesting the 12 hours with the lineup again. It will be a great challenge despite the shorter length. But I have no doubt that our car and the team will be top again,” said Giorgio Maggi shortly before he left for Zolder.

“We are very happy to have Giorgio back in our ‘prototype’, in 2019 he did a top job, because his consistency was instrumental in the overall victory.

It will be the last race in the 2020 BELCAR Championship. A very, very important race for our team. This is where the championship will be decided. That is why these 4 top drivers are registered by us.

We are happy that Giorgio Maggi is back, he will be a great help to us to win the championship. In our class we are on place 1 and in the BELCAR championship we are on P3. We can still win both categories,” said the “Krafft Racing Team”.
